Men today are increasingly devoting attention to fashion. Male fashion takes up more and more place among fashion trends. And with great merit. What does it mean for you to be elegant, is it a dress or is there something else?
DG: The elegance in my opinion is not tied only to the dress that you wear. An elegant man is such in his soul, in his ways, in speaking, in gesticulating, etc. The correct mix of all these things makes an elegant man really
Do you think young people today know how to be elegant?
DG: Today’s youth are bombarded with messages of various kinds. In these messages, however, a few times gives value and importance to elegance.
At the same time, I must say that I often meet young people who ask me a thousand questions about style and elegance and who are very curious about the subject. When I was young I was lucky to have really elegant men and style icons among my idols: Mastroianni, Agnelli, Alain Delon, Sean Connery etc.

Today, in the era of social networks and bloggers, do you think men should pay more attention when it comes to dress and to what?
DG: Today it seems that on social networks you have to appear and flaunt at any cost. I think that the key to everything is always harmony and balance (colors, fit, shapes) of the garments worn. It is also important to take care of the details and the accessories
What advice would you say to young people today?
DG: BE YOURSELF. You can get inspiration from others but you do not have to be the copy of anyone else.
What are the 3 most important pieces of clothing when it comes to men?
DG: Double breasted blue jacket
– High waist trousers with pleats (the gentleman model of PT01 is perfect)
– even if a vintage watch is an accessor
Where do you find inspiration for your work?
DG: I take inspiration from various parts. Sometimes I draw inspiration from everyday life by looking at people and young people in different parts of the world. Other times I draw inspiration from art, music, cinema
What are the following plans and news for your work?
DG: My two activities (representative showroom and world sales manager for PT pants Torino) are evolving and adapting to the needs and changes of the market.
As for the first activity we are continuously raising the level and taste of the brands we work with. And in a little ‘time we will open a space in Milan that will also take care of sales for the whole world.
As for my role as PT, we are preparing from 2019 to a ReBranding of the brand that will allow us to face the “future market” in a more modern and contemporary way, giving new lymph and new appeal to the brand itself.
